With the Jackson mission wrapped, we cruised up to Montana for some more back country action… Snow is a bit bleak up in Montana at the moment, but we’ve been finding our fair share of zones, and tree jib action up in the hills of Mariah Pass…

The Snow Slip Inn has served as our stomping grounds for the last couple of days. Get up here and ask for Bill, he'll serve up the drinks, and point you towards the snow zones... Timeless spot!

Granger finally got some Percy... But seriously, Percy is a local at the Snow Slip...

After helping out around the Inn, we're loc's now too... Curtis putting in work!

Our fleet: The Signal Snowboards/Rockstar Engergy RV,and the Ford 350+27 foot trailer for the 4 sleds (and one more on the fritz in the bed of the truck...).

Once we were a safe distance from Percy, Granger let his savage side out and killed a deer... Actually the wolves are just rugged out here - by the looks of it they must have taken this thing down and left this chewed up leg in our trail... Hot dang!

A massive Burn zone from the Skyline Fires a few years back makes up for most of the terrain that we have been accessing. Above the treeline, things get rocky and good for shooting, however with the snow being shotty, it's been fun to use these ominous tree zones to create some good scenes and shots...

Jin, waiting to drop on a feature we built up in the woods...
Over and out from Montana – headed through the border and up to Calgary in the AM -

I’ve listened to that Johnny Cash song a million times in the last couple of days….
Anyway, Jackson Hole was insane, we were only there for a short couple of sessions, but I can see how that place gets such an excellent rep – insane snow, and amazing zones… Plenty of shots of boardin’ from Jackson on file, but here’s a bit of the rest…

Braaaaaap!

We're not lazy! When the sleds don't cut it - this crew grabs the snowshoes and climbs for the goods!

Jin got snowfaced after a good bail...

SOOO COLD - after a night shoot...
On to Montana for a few days before Canada -

After building some bunkbeds in the back of the Signal RV, the crew headed out of Salt Lake City en-route to Jackson Hole – internet has been scarce as we have been headed away from civilization/chairlifts, and trading in for snowmobiles/snowshoes/so much snow!
Here’s a snap that shows my mobile office… pretty sweet! Goin’ Mobile, Keep me Movin’! (Who!)

What a goober!

We were up at Powder Mountain in Utah for the last 3 days filming for Fuel TV’s “Built to Shred” – Jin, Jordan, Matt, Kyle, and Curtis had plenty of hams on the ‘all-wooden’ features that Jeff King and the crew set up for us. Look out for the episode in September…

Jeff King's mighty handy with the Chainsaw...

Our ‘ring-leader’ Kyle Grant flew out to Oregon on Monday, and returned to Salt Lake yesterday with his truck and a 30 foot trailer full of snowmobiles. We cruised up to Guardsman Pass in the Wasatch today to rip around on them and it was wild! I was a total rookie, first timer – a day I’ve been dreading for a long time, turned into an awesome experience. I’m so excited to see how much we can produce while using these machines to get to zones, bowls, and cliff-bands for the remainder of our trip (especially up in Revelstoke…).
Here are some snaps – over-and-out -

Kyle and Jin doubled up and getting to the zone...
It was our first day with our new edition to the crew Curtis Hill - pumped!

Kyle Grant laying out the high mark...

Kyle had some technical difficulties, but luckily he's handy with the steel...

Made it back to the trailer... cold hands + cold beers -
Cruised out to Bountiful UT today to session a Rail zone that has been getting a lot of play lately. We met up with the always original Kyle Fischer who had set up a double line the day before – Kyle was down to share the wealth, and he let us get down on his shoot. Kyle, Jin and Jordan went to town on the feature and came up with some hammers!
Headed out to Sushi in SLC now – LATER!

Kyle Fischer - rad kid!

Jin helped out for a quick portrait with Jordan - he's holding one of these reflective cardboard circles that I've kept in the camera-bag from a pizza place in Denver... Knew they'd come in handy one day...
JP!
Yesterday I woke up early in SLC and headed up to Brighton on the RV with the Signal Crew. Austin Granger led us through some insane laps, and everyone got some great lines. Later in the day we did some grilling and gave out hot dogs to the hungry boarders of Brighton in the parking lot…
Rad day followed by a wild night in Salt Lake -

Jin Saito looking out over Brighton before dropping in on a prime time method...
After SIA I met up with the Signal Snowboards RV tour. I’m on with them for the next month or so cruising up through Jackson, and Montana into the Canadian Rockies and out to Whistler… Should be an insane time with some rad people -

The Signal/Rockstar Ford F750 'Fun Mover' - Comin' Atcha!

Our crew's rollin' deep - KG, Granger, Bogart, J. Parks, Sarah, Gin, Brewster etc.... at Copper Mountain CO
