Touch and go forecast has made for some interesting days in Western Canada – up in the zones it’s a bit of a waiting game (but more of a losing battle) and down in the valley it’s a bit of a mind game (but more like losing your mind).

Kuzyk waiting it out // calling it due to visibility (don’t jump!!)

Hopefully we get a window of good weather in the next few days…

I met up with Jesper for lunch on Thursday – he’s crushing it over at BIG Architecture Group.

It was awesome to be a total tourist for a few days, and so sweet to hang with some friends that I haven’t seen in a while. Big thanks to Sam for hosting me!

In the midst of the highly questionable granite nudity, there was good boarding to be had… Today we woke up early and Darrell got a perfect trick first thing in the AM. Such a good feeling to lock something up first try.

Below are a few of the photos surrounding ‘the make’ – these include one of the raddest looking in-runs to a spot that I’ve ever encountered. The in-run involved pumping down 3 flights of stairs to get speed… Everything was made of granite, and it looked super ominous..

That’s what we’ve been doing…

Darrell, Danny, and Grenier with ‘VG’ – print edition.

On Tuesday I cruised out to Norway to meet up with a good bit of the Videograss crew. We’ll be here in the streets of Oslo for a few weeks guided by local, Danny Larsen. We already have some good momentum on the trip after two short days – should be a productive time.

Winter X is a bit of a media nightmare — with everything set up to ensure that ESPN gets the angles for TV, security is out in force making sure that the hundreds of journalists, photographers, and filmers from outside publications stay out of the way. This means that getting an original angle takes a whole lot of legwork… From hiking to hiding, winter X was definitely a challenge to shoot.

For my winter X post, I selected some photos of the lensmen at winter X… and of course some close up of Shaun’s pants…
